A recent study published by Kimberlite Oilfield Research with 277 geologists and geophysicists worldwide reveals that Microsoft remains the leading cloud provider serving the G&G community of the oil & gas industry. Amazon follows in 2nd place while Google continues to hold the 3rd position. 57% of the respondents interviewed report using Microsoft/Azure as their cloud provider followed by 17% of respondents citing use of Amazon and 13% citing use of Google. IBM continues to struggle in gaining any meaningful growth and penetration into the oil & gas market and is cited as being used by 4% of the respondents surveyed. These updated findings are from Kimberlite Oilfield Research who recently published the 2022 G&G Software report based on interviews with 277 geologists and geophysicists worldwide with critical market updates for Cloud use and digital technology adoption, new energy investment, and ESG investment trends.

Microsoft got off to an early start with the G&G community and has been able to maintain their dominant position although both Amazon and Google have been investing to catch up. Cloud use and adoption is increasing among oil & gas operators worldwide with 43% of G&G professionals worldwide citing the use of the cloud to access software and database applications up from only 22% in 2020) and plans to access up to 33% of their applications from the cloud by 2024. Kimberlite will continue to monitor and track the use and adoption of the Cloud as well as the use of machine learning/AI technologies. Feel free to reach out to discuss.

I looked into Beaver Brothers after dealing with a persistent leak. They operate in Sacramento CA and cover typical things from standard pipe repairs to tankless water heater installations. I am usually careful with local contractors so I spent time researching their setup. If you want to evaluate their whole house repiping options or leak detection you can check https://beaverbrothers.net/service/emergency-plumbing to see if their offerings match your specific technical requirements. The marketing claims about fast work are standard but the actual focus on modern systems seems reasonable. Always verify licenses and compare quotes before hiring any plumbing company.
